Conclusion

During my studies to global warming case, I learned and got some important details about it. It is one of the biggest problems which the world is facing right now. For example. I knew the causes, effects and the results of global warming. The greenhouse gases are the main reason of increasing the average temperature of earth’s air. Added to that, the climate changes can cause many of natural disasters and big damage. For example, melting glaciers, the rising of sea surface and droughts. The countries have to work hard to stop global warming or even reduce it. Gl0bal warming is a real and hard to stop, but we have to work hard to reach our target. We have to use the regenerated energy, improve environment protection and develop alternative economic systems. I don’t think it is late to stop global warming because the solutions in our hands. From now, we have to start before the time ran out. I am going to give some advices to my parents, relatives and friends about global warming and how we can solve it.

The UAE and global warming

Abu Dhabi future energy company(the source of renewable energy) in Abu Dhabi has launched a first of a kind city that does not dispose chemecals and especially CO2.The project will be completed in the year 2009 and it will contain the best and the most modern technology in the filed of regenerated energy and in the environment protection. A city that will include the administration center and a center for innovation that support the new technology. It will include a university with international standard that teaches in the filed of regenerated energy. The city will also include companies that clean energy.

The UAE are the only Gulf state that have started to develop alternative economic systems and relying only on oil and now hope to achieve global leadership in renewable technology applications benefit from the enormous oil revenues to develop new energy sources and applied on a practical level.

Mountains and global warming

Mountains cover approximately 25 percent of earth's surface .Changes in global climate affect mountain habitats. Climate change will affect mountain and lowland ecosystems, distribution of water and increase the number of forest fires.

Plants and animals have limited space available for new habitat as they move higher on the mountains in order to adapt to long-term changes in regional climate.

Changes in climate will also affect the depth of the mountains and glaciers. Any changes in their seasonal melting can have powerful impacts on areas that rely on freshwater runoff from mountains. Rising temperature may cause snow to melt earlier and faster in the spring and change the timing and distribution of runoff. These changes could affect the availability of freshwater for natural systems and human uses.

Individual action in the UAE can reduce CO2 level

Individuals can effectively participate in saving the environment. Some of these things are we can go to our near places by walking or by bicycle instead of using a car. We could also have the car engine switched off when it’s parked. When the car’s engine is on, it pollutes the environment. To help save the environment, we can buy products with less packing and take home fewer plastics. Reducing the number of cars is a great way to help save the environment, there will be less carbon monoxide in the atmosphere. Fires are another source of harm to the environment. By reducing the amount of fire around us we can contribute to the environment. Recycling helps reduce the CO2 burned in the sky.

Trucks and global warming:

Motor vehicles are responsible for most emissions of carbon dioxide, the main global warming gas. There are three factors which contribute to CO2 emissions from trucks. They are amount of fuel used, the amount of CO2 released when a particularly fuel is used and the number of vehicle miles traveled. The amount of fuel consumed by motor vehicles control how much CO2 pollution enters the atmosphere. The more gasoline burned, the more CO2 released. Using conventional, gasoline-combustion technology can decrease CO2 pollution alot. There are some solutions to reduce the carbon dioxide in trucks. For example, provide motivations for research and development of renewable fuels. Encourage investment in renewable fuels. Added to that, we have to reduce driving and find transportation alternatives such as the bicycle, and pedestrian routes.

Causes of Global Warming

Global warming is caused by many things. There are two main causes which are man-made and natural causes. One of the causes is greenhouse gases which increase the atmosphere’s temperature. The greenhouse gases come from the burning of fossil fuels . Carbon Dioxide and Nitrous Oxide and methane are greenhouse gases. There are many man-made causes. The first cause is that pollution, burning fossil fuels causes pollution. fossil fuels is made from coal and oil. When we burn they give off a greenhouse gas called CO2. Another cause is population. The population is increasing yearly so is the demand for food, drinks and transportation is increasing. It means more methane because there will be more burning of fossil fuel.Another source of methane is manure. By increasing the population we need more vehicles such as trucks and cars.

Effects of Global Warming

There are many effects of global warming. The main effect is an increase in the average temperate of the earthair. Added to that, rising sea level will have a bad impact on agriculture. Global warming causes some infectious diseases such as malaria. It causes many natural disasters, for example, droughts, floods and storms. Evaporation is increasing due to warmer oceans. Global warming could reduce the ocean's ability to absorb CO2.It also makes some changes in the ecosystem. Rising global temperature might cause forest fires. Then, global warming has effects on the ground so roads, airport runways, railway lines and pipelines will need a maintenance renewal much more often. Higher temperatures will also increase the demand for water for the purpose of cooling.

Global warming......Introduction

In this project I will write about global warming .I carried out an internet research and got useful information about it. I chose to make a conversation about this subject because I would like to give my classmates useful information about this problem and find some solutions for it. It is one of the biggest problems which the world is facing right now. The countries’ governments are working hard to get the solutions of the global warming impacts. My project will include the following points.

1- What is global warming?

2- Causes of global warming.

3- Effects of global warming.

4- The UAE and global warming.

5- Individual action in the UAE can reduce CO2 level.

6- Summary.

What is the global warming?

Global warming is an increase in the average temperature of the earth’s air. It is caused by greenhouse gases which increase the atmosphere’s temperature. The greenhouse gases contain some gases like Carbon Dioxide and Nitrous Oxide. The greenhouse gases come from the burning of fossil fuels . The temperature of the air increases when the greenhouse's rate rises more than normal. The main reason for the increase in the greenhouse gases rate is people's activities, such as factories and vehicles. That causes decrease in the average temperature of the atmosphere, which is getting warmer. The increase in the earth’s near surface temperature causes many dangerous impacts. The ice near poles is starting to melt which raises the sea level. It also affects the weather badly. The climate changes can cause many of natural disasters and big damage. For example, melting glaciers, the rising of sea surface, droughts and cyclones.
